Our Campus
Campus Safety & Student Well-Being
HBIU is a global online and in-person university community. Safety includes physical safety, digital security, respectful conduct, privacy, and timely reporting of concerns.
A safe learning environment
Students, faculty, staff, visitors, and partners are expected to contribute to a learning environment free from violence, threats, harassment, intimidation, exploitation, and retaliation.
Concerns involving immediate danger should be reported to local emergency services in the country or community where the person is located. University-related concerns should also be reported through the appropriate HBIU administrative or student-support channel.
Digital campus safety
Students should protect their HBIU login credentials, use unique passwords, avoid sharing passwords or verification codes, and report suspicious account activity. HBIU staff should never request a student’s password through social media or informal messaging.
Students should use official HBIU platforms and verified university channels when submitting academic work, documents, payments, or identity information.
Respectful conduct
HBIU expects respectful interaction across classrooms, live sessions, WhatsApp communities, social platforms, discussion forums, practicums, internships, and university events. Discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, and retaliation are inconsistent with university expectations.
Reporting concerns
Students should report academic, safety, harassment, discrimination, privacy, or conduct concerns to Student Services, their college leadership, or university administration as appropriate. Reports should include enough factual information for HBIU to review the concern responsibly.
